ASICS x ATMOS
VANDYTHEPINK, Atmos and ASICS have come together for a triple-scoop GEL-Nimbus 10.1 collaboration that’s inspired by sweet treats — namely, the traditional splits you’d find at an American diner. The ASICS Gel-Nimbus 10.1 builds on the mesh runner trend that’s still going strong by combining the upper of the ASICS Nimbus 10 with the midsole of the ASICS Kayano 14. Dubbed the “Banana Spit” pack, the offerings are big, bold, and colorful, with plenty of playful details and tastefully applied branded hits. “Banana” and “Strawberry” colorways pull from the shades of their respective split flavors for inspiration, offering bright base tones offset by ASICS’ familiar metallic silver overlays. Other details include two-tone midsoles with visible GEL cushioning, chocolate brown accents, a duo of tags with Vandy the Pink’s familiar flower graphic on the lateral heel, two lace options, and co-branded insoles. For a finishing flourish, each is accompanied by a custom-branded shoebox. To complement the release of the shoes, Vandy also designed an exclusive capsule to compliment the sneakers with tees, long sleeves, and accessories.
Ahead of the official global release, Vandy hosted a special pop-up event in New York City, giving everyone the unique opportunity to purchase the highly anticipated ASICS collaboration in person. The event served as a first look at the collection and offered early access to the sneakers before they became available to the general public. The pop-up also marked the debut of the “Banana” colorway—a VANDYTHEPINK exclusive that could only be purchased at the New York event or directly through the brand’s website. The "Strawberry" colorway was released worldwide through ASICS and also made available via Vandy's website.
