X-GIRL

Founded in 1994 by Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth and stylist Daisy von Furth, X‑Girl broke ground as one of the first women-focused streetwear brands. Born out of the X‑Large universe, it combined music, skate, and punk influences into graphic-driven clothing designed to fit women—a sharp contrast to the oversized, male-centric streetwear of the time. The brand’s guerrilla-style debut fashion show in New York, produced by Sofia Coppola and Spike Jonze and featuring Chloë Sevigny, cemented its place in fashion history.
Now based in Japan under B’s International, X‑Girl continues to thrive through fresh collections and collaborations that honor its DIY roots while appealing to new generations. Recent partnerships have included VANDYTHEPINK, blending X‑Girl’s streetwear legacy with Vandy’s playful, character-driven approach. The collaboration brought together bold graphic tees, hoodies, jackets, and accessories reinforcing X‑Girl’s role as a brand that bridges nostalgia and forward-thinking style.
